I hate flying. I believe that planes are the worst means of traveling. From the hours spent at the airpot waiting, the security checks, the awful food, the lack of comfort, the lack of leg room (I am 1,93 m or 6.4 ft), the lost luggages and so on, I didn’t think that my first article on flying would be a positive one.

On my trip from Dublin to Paris, I used Aer Lingus, the Irish national airline. During the boarding, I presented my boarding pass and my passport to the flight attendant, then started walking down the stairs to reach the plane, after a few steps I realised that my wife was not following me and but instead was urging me to come back. At this point all sorts of things were running through my mind – what had I forgotten, was there a problem with our IDs… ?

The man had asked my wife if we were travelling together and whether she could call me back. He had notice how tall I was and called me back to suggest that we change seats to accomodate my extra long legs! He seated us near the emergency exits and all that without the scramble for  a good seat that you have to endure with other airlines.

Guess which company I will use from now on ?
